Dear Charlie... by Aroma |
| The anonymous diary style of Chbosky is not unlike Go Ask Alice. Growing pains of being different and precocious in middle class suburbia during the 90's - without being whiny or borderline-suicidal. This Bildungsroman does touch on teen issues such as: sex, love, domestic abuse, drugs and friendship; fans of "Rats saw God" by Rob Thomas, and "The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger will certainly enjoy this book. |
