| An incredibly moving tale of a father's love and the hope of youth.
--------------
Enthralling, dark, and yes, moving, but it was hard for me to feel much hope, even at the end. |

| Cormac McCarthy paints a post-apocalyptic world, and doesn't even explain how it happens really...there is mystery, there is a big tension throughout the entire story, kind of like someone is going to jump out from around the corner and grab you by the throat to get whatever you have and then take your life. Also, it shows a unique bond between father and son that brought tears to my eyes. There is a constant desperation on the father's part regarding how to keep his son from danger. |
