Review by Denver Public Library customers |
| I loved The Book Theif By Markus Zusak! It was the first book of it's kind that I have ever read. My best friend has been pushing me onto books like it since she read Fever 1793. Set during the Holocaust, Lisel Miminger is the main character. It is written from the perspective of a humorous Death and opened my eyes to the wonderful world of Holocaust books, and the awesome writer that is Markus Zusak! |

The Book Thief by Frinton Reading Group |
| 1. This is a wonderful read from start to finish. To me it is an original, balanced piece of storytelling, which is also unsettling, thought provoking and triumphant and tragic. A novel beautifuuly told and a real page turner.
2. An excellently written book. The main character is a young orphan girl who had a great desire for books. The book seems to have been truthfully aand painstakingly researched into conditionns in Germany at that time. The quality of writing is very good, with good descriptions.

The Book Thief by themadmaiden |
| An amazing and original story set in Germany during the second world war. It's narrated by Death, who manages to be a wonderful storyteller and shows it has a lot of compassion.
If you love books and words then you should read this book. One of my all time favourites. |
