MOCKINGJAY IS THE BEST! by tennisrox23 |
| this is one of the best books i've ever read! I love how the author mixed the genres (suspense, romance, survival, and sci-fi)! Also, the story is very unique. |

It was disappointing by mistwalker |
| Mockingjay was disappointing for me to read. After reading the first two books in less than a week, I expected Mockingjay to surpass them both. It didn't.
In Mockingjay, the conclusion to Collin's trilogy, Katniss agrees to be the rebel's Mockingjay, the symbol of the revolution against the tyrannical Capitol. She loses Peeta to one of the Capitol's horiffic psychological tortures and she, too, almost loses her mind toward the end of the story. Having sustained so much trauma and injury, it can be expected.
The ending was not satisfying at all. I wanted to know exactly what happened between Katniss and Peeta and Gale. And was it really Gale who dropped the bombs on the Capitol children? Collins never fully explains how the loose ends are tied up.
I can't say I will ever read Mockingjay again. It was heartbreaking and the mood of the story drops without ever rising fully again. ~mistwalker~ |
